Do Not Put Off Your Chance To Drop Some Pounds Until New Year’s Day

October 22nd 2009   ·   0 Comments

It is time for you to take action to solve your weight gain issues so what are you waiting for? Most of us have to set up a time table to motivate us. For example, we will start on New Year’s Day or after your birthday or what ever. But the longer you delay the harder it will be to lose the weight. How about getting started right now.

It is very simple to put off something like beginning an exercise plan and weight lose system. When you are not fit you end up getting tired quickly. You start telling yourself that it is because you are getting old but really it is not. There are elderly people out there who are running marathons every year so it can not be that. Being overweight can make you feel older than you really are and you can’t think of a way of feeling young again than being able to keep up with the younger generation. You do not want to put that feeling off.

There are plenty of advantages for getting a head start on your weight loss goals. If you keep putting it off then you will always find reasons for not changing your diet and exercising. Plus, if you begin today you will get pass the dreaded two week period when most people call it quits. Setting a date to begin will only make you anticipate the date until you have to make that change. You may wind up depressed by the time the date comes around.

Getting a firm grip on reality will help you get motivated. Once your brain is set on this you will be unstoppable. And once you get to the point that you are getting fit then you will be even more inclined to keep going. Waiting will only drive you to delay until you end up having no choice but to do it. Like when you end up on doctor’s orders.

Set a goal for where you want to be. Let’s say 20 to 30 pounds from what you currently weigh. But do not set a time table to finish like four to eight weeks. Your diet and exerise program will end once you get to your desired weight. But once you get there you still will not be done. You must keep some kind of plan set in motion to maintain your new weight so you will not become overweight in the future. That is the one step most people forget that causes them to think that their diet plan failed them. A diet is only designed to get the weight off but not permanently. Regular exercise and a change in your eating habits will help you maintain your weight.

So now today is the day. Not tomorrow or next year. Decide that you want to drop that weight now so you will not end up just delaying for later. You will be glad that you did.
